My name’s Jackson Simon. I come from all over and nowhere. Here’s the gist of it:

I was born in Ireland. Started school in France. Continued in Panama. Worked at a lawyers’ office in Portugal and then a farm in Belize. That’s when I started writing lyrics and freestylin’ with my spirit. That was 2017. I started college in 2018 in China, ‘cos like… knowledge. Now I’m back in Paris, took a semester off to figure stuff out; ended up working on my debut album. 21 songs 21 days after my 21st birthday. By far the best present I could’ve gotten myself. I get to hop back on that school train in 2021. A privilege outmatched by books and experience in my opinion. But what do I know. I don’t even know which station to get off at. The end of the track seems like the best bet. I’ve derailed myself. Anyways, I’ve seen the world and all I see’s a circular swirl.

Twirling underneath this screwed up planet. Turning “Down the Rabbit Hole”, come join me in Wonderland. I don’t deny the hopping top hat I got, just always bouncing to stranger places. No matter where I land though, I still gotta inhabit the same as everyone else. I’m stuck inside daily repetitive madness. Call it a rut. So let’s you and me break out of it. Crew up and find something better together. Somehow though I’m my own person. Captain of my own desires. Sailing the chase. Or chasing after sails. This wonderland waves to the treasure on endless shores. I dunno where I’m going with this. We’ll see where I end up. Maybe the waves will show me the X on the map. I wonder if I meant your clapping hands blowing kisses my way.

Foregoing the crazy weird poetic rant, I dig questions. I dig music. I dig rap. I dig philosophy. Tryna find a way to put it all together for you and for me. The chest’s probably buried six feet underneath. That’s cool, the wind’s still blowing me upwards and forward to your ears. Helping me do what I do. Gonna incorporate philosophy into lyricism, even though I’m not into corporations. Unless you count the core innovation that is this label that I’m building from scratch. #Philosorap y’all.
